Watch and do with the Food Network.

Wednesday is one of those days for me. It’s mid-week and can sometimes feel like the weekend is never going to come. I start daydreaming about the weekend and what I’m going to do with friends and family. Friday night I’m having a girls night in with some close friends, and Saturday will be spend enjoying time with family. There are some things that help me get through the week though, like catching up on my favorite shows piling up on my DVR. Once all the chores are done at home, it’s time to relax with the latest How I Met Your Mother episode or 2 Broke Girls, but then there’s also Person of Interest and Girls… There are seriously so many good shows on right now, I can’t help but want to record and watch everything.

If I’m not watching one of those great shows, chances are I’m watching Food Network, Cooking Channel or HGTV. Have you ever saw literally one minute of something Paula Dean was making and immediately thought you had to make it? I hope the answer is yes so I don’t feel so silly. It was probably a few weeks ago, but I was just putzing around the house doing and had Food Network on, next thing I know I see Ms. Dean drizzling caramel over these amazing looking treats. All I heard was caramel apple cheesecake and I was sold. I fortunately pressed record before the show ended. I ran out of the house to run some errands but as soon as I got home I turned the TV back on to watch the episode.

Caramel Apple Cheesecake Streusel Bars. How amazing does that sound? I know, I know. I saw what ingredients the recipe required and fortunately had them all! You know what happened next, don’t you? Of course, you do… I made them that minute. It was quite the process, pausing, rewinding and fast-forwarding the show to get it just right, but I did and oh, man they were so good! Seriously, so, so good!

So, point being on this random post: Take a break tonight and flip on Food Network or the Cooking Channel and just make whatever they are- you won’t be disappointed! Leave a comment and let me know what you come up with!

Till next time…
